·      JUNIORS: Want an insiders’ view to the College application process? The Mira Costa High School College & Career Center invites the Junior Class to the Case Study College Night and Mini College Fair on May 18 at 6:00 pm. Parents and students will be led through various mock admissions committees to gain insight and understanding as to what is valued in an application. This event is an engaging and effective way to discuss the college application process with college admission representatives from around the country. A college mini fair with over 20 different private and out of state colleges will be held in the Cafeteria immediately following this event, beginning at 7:15 pm.

Space for the Case Study activity is limited to 150 juniors and ONE parent/guardian per student. Students must sign up through Naviance. The mini fair is open to all students and parents, no sign-up required.

·      SENIORS: All graduating seniors are required to complete the Senior Clearance process by submitting their post-high school plans. Please complete the following steps and bring copies to the CCC by May 22

-If you are planning to enter a 4-year or Community College:

1. Updated Naviance college admissions results page. (Go to the College tab. For colleges that you did NOT end up applying to, mark as “withdrawn.” For colleges that you applied to and did not get into, mark “denied.” For colleges you applied to and got into, mark “accepted.” Finally, indicate which school you are going to at the bottom of the page.)

2. Completed senior survey (on Naviance, under the “About Me” tab)

3. Acceptance letter from the school you will be attending, or verbally tell us your plans for next year – taking a gap year, job, military, traveling, etc.

This process will ensure that your final transcript will be sent to the school you plan to attend in the fall.

-If you are planning to work, enter the military, take a gap year, or travel:

1. Stop in the CCC to let us know your plans.
