STUDENT INFO           

·      Yearbook Distribution begins Monday, June 5 at the Student Store. YOU MUST PRESENT YOUR ORIGINAL COSTA ID TO RECEIVE YOUR YEARBOOK.

o   TODAY, June 6 all grades can pick up and/or purchase during lunch and after school.

·      All club forms are due ASAP! They include second semester report, club renewal form, and a roster with every returning member in your club in the 2017-18 school year. Make sure that everyone in your club is included in the roster, or they will not be eligible for 2017 homecoming court.

·      If you have registered for the Mira Costa History Project Class, there will be a lunch meeting this Thursday, June 8 in Mr. Currier’s Room 222 at lunch.

·      Come see the Mira Costa Dance Company performance on June 8 at 7 pm in the Small Theater!

·      Attention Seniors who rented/borrowed caps and gowns from Jostens: John Zavala, Jostens rep, will be here on Thursday, June 22 between 9-11 am to pick up caps, gowns and tassels. If you do not return your borrowed items by this date, charges will be incurred.

·      Come hear the Mira Costa Choirs on Thursday, 6/8 in their final concert of the year, “Journey Home,” at 7 pm in the MCHS Auditorium. We will feature all the choirs, plus the 60-voice European Rhine Tour Choir.

·      If you are interested in trying out for the Boys’ Basketball summer program, the tryout will be at Mira Costa from 5:45 – 7:30 pm on TODAY, June 6 and Thursday, June 8.

·      The last Comedy Sportz Match is this Friday at 7 pm in the Small Theater for $5! It is Seniors vs. Alumni, so don’t miss it!

·      Incoming Juniors and Seniors finalizing classes with your counselors for next year: Honors Earth Science through UCLA is the class for you! Located right here at Mira Costa in Room 238, it is the only Dual Credit class (high school and college credit) at Mira Costa. The *transcript can earn you credit to another college, even if you do not go to UCLA. No AP exam. Four major fields of study are astronomy, oceanography, meteorology and geology! Boost your GPA! See Mr. Kurz, UCLA Instructor Honors Earth Science in Room 238 or email [email protected] for more details. Edutainer of the year 2003, 2005-2017. *College credit is optional; students should check transferability with the undergraduate admissions office at the college of their choice.

FACULTY

·      Teachers – Don’t forget to come to the faculty lounge TODAY, June 6 for a free celebratory lunch to kick off the summer. See you there!

SENIORS
