·      Wanna get spooked? Halloween Noontime Theatre is here! Scootch over to Room 1 during PM office hours on Wednesday to watch some spooky scenes!

SPORTS

·      It’s that time of the year! The 2017 Lip Sync Contest is here! Calling all clubs, sports teams, groups and individuals: Show us your Lip Sync skills and win a chance at PRIZE MONEY. Sign ups start this Wednesday through Friday, 10/25 – 10/27, at lunch. Look for the Dance Team Table near the Mustang Mall. Show is Thursday, Nov. 16!

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

·      Come to Drama Club every Wednesday during lunch in Room 1 for announcements on new and exciting things happening in the Drama/Tech Department.

·      It was a dark and stormy Tuesday during lunch in Room 1, when Improv Club made people laugh until their stomachs burst! Come…if you dare!

·      Come to Solar Cup Team meeting this Wednesday.

·      Come to Headstrong Club this Tuesday in Room 21 to help support mental health awareness.

·      Come to Drone Club and learn to build and fly drones. Now in Mr. Oystrick’s Room 242.

·      Come to Club Harmony in Room 207 at lunch TODAY and learn how to promote social inclusiveness!

·      Interested in joining the Mira Costa Badminton Team second semester? Come to Badminton Club to learn more! Our first meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 24 in Room 332 in the Math & Science building at lunch.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

·      SENIORS – The CCC will hold a Common App-Naviance matching workshop on the following time/date. No sign up necessary. Lunch Workshop: Oct. 24

·      College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign-up to attend on NAVIANCE.

·      SoCal Roc is now enrolling for its 2nd quarter 9 week classes: Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Banking and Financial Services, and Business Entrepreneur. Classes begin November 6. Come to the CCC to sign up to speak with a SoCal Roc counselor and learn more about the interactive Career Technical classes that we offer.

·      Local Events Belmont University Information Sessions Belmont University (Nashville, TN) is offering information sessions in Los Angeles to help students and parents learn general information about the university, as well as specific details regarding the application/admission process and scholarships/financial aid.
