SPRING Membership Drive was January 29 ,2024 to February 29, 2024
SPRING MEMBERSHIP DRIVE IS OPEN

The California Scholarship Federation (known as CSF) is a state-wide academic honors organization whose purpose is to recognize students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.

CSF Membership is based on qualifying grades that are earned each semester.  In order to become a member, the student must submit an application each semester the student is eligible.  A point system specified in the CSF State By-Laws establishes the membership requirements.  To secure eligibility for CSF membership, a student must earn a minimum of 10 CSF points from pre-approved course lists.
"A" = 3 points, "B" = 1 point.  Additional information can be found on the application.
The majority of the required membership points must come from University accepted coursework. *  A "D" or an "F" in any course will disqualify you for that semester.

Associate Membership will be granted to second semester Freshmen and first semester Sophomores (looking at freshman grades from the second semester of Freshmen year) whose grades meet the CSF requirements.  However, this membership cannot count toward life (sealbearer) membership.

Sealbearer is a CSF member who has earned membership during four of the last six semesters of high school, one must be earned by one semester of senior grades. These students are awarded the CSF Gold Seal on diplomas and transcripts.  In addition, Mira Costa students are awarded the official CSF pin, a Life Member Certificate and the honor of wearing a distinctive cowl at graduation.

Citizenship Counts in CSF.  If you receive an "N" or "U" in citizenship, you are disqualified for that semester!

When filling out the google form for membership, the student must fill this form out through the mbusdapps.org account.
