Al Muratsuchi for State Assembly Campaign
Al Muratsuchi’s Campaign for Assembly is now accepting applications for fall interns. Al Muratsuchi is a Democrat and former California State Assemblyman running for California's 66th Assembly District. Interns will learn skills that are essential for careers in public service. Interning for Al’s campaign is a great way to gain hands-on campaign experience on California’s #1 targeted race. The internship extends through November 8th, on what is sure to be a very exciting election day.

We Are The Next: Youth Heritage Summit
This full length Youth Heritage Summit is a program designed and funded in part by the National Park Service. The program is implemented with the goal that participants will aspire to build careers in fields such as heritage conservation, architecture, archaeology, history, and comparable fields of study. Students will select one of three tracks: Social Media, Mapping Historic Sites, or Graphic Design. All lodging, meals, and transportation during the summit will be free for participants.
Program dates: July 27-30th, 2016
Location: Cesar E. Chavez National Monument (Keene, CA)

Fuze Branding Stylist Internship (Summer)
Fuze Branding is a boutique branding agency for small businesses based in Los Angeles. This Internship opportunity is for Juniors or Seniors. Our chosen candidate will work with the creative director of Fuze and a photographer. Check us out on Instagram: @fuzebranding.
BENEFITS: Build a colorful, creative styling portfolio for a competitive industry. Collaborate directly with creative director/photographer on locations, props, ideas. Get a crash course in the inner workings of a boutique branding agency staffed by super rad creative professionals.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Intern will assist in preparations for photo shoots by developing shot ideas, gathering props, picking up materials at the printer, trimming samples, and all other duties as assigned. This position is a DIY-heavy job, so a love of crafting and creating is a must.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to commit to office hours twice weekly for the duration of the 3 month internship cycle.

Internship Opportunity With Assemblyman David Hadley
The District Office of Assemblyman David Hadley offers interested students an opportunity to learn about state government and the political process. The interns will have a hands-on role in research, interacting with constituents and learn the operations of a legislative office. Assemblyman Hadley represents the areas of Torrance, Lomita, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and the LA communities of Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, El Camino Village and West Carson.

UCI Summer Surgery Program with the Department of Urology
The 2016 Summer Surgery Program offers two, two-week intense sessions for mature high school students at least 16 years old who have excelled academically. This elite program allows students to gain hands-on experience in the fields of surgery and medicine. Space is limited to 24 students per session. The dates for each session:
Session I: July 11- July 22
Session II: July 25 – August 5, 2016 (room and board available for out-of-town/ international students)
To apply, students must be at least 16 years old, have a minimum GPA of 3.5, and be currently enrolled in high school (2016 senior graduates welcome).
