Timeline by Grade

GRADE 9: Prior to the junior year, college preparation is simple, but important. Developing sound study habits, taking appropriate courses which increase each year in difficulty, and focusing on the "core courses" (English, Language, Math, Science and Social Studies) positions every student to follow any number of post-secondary options. Freshmen will meet with the CCC Counselors once for a classroom guidance lesson. The meeting covers course selection for the sophomore year, graduation requirements, A-G college requirements, summer school, and four-year planning post high school avenues. Please view our high school academic planning video, it's very helpful!

GRADE 10: Sophomores will meet with the CCC Counselors once for a classroom guidance lesson. The meeting covers course selection for the junior year, summer opportunities, utilizing Naviance/Family Connection, and more....

CCC Counselors will also be reviewing personal statements - simply drop off your personal statement in the CCC (be sure to provide your name, the prompt you're responding to, and your email) and we will do our best to get your personal statement reviewed within a week or less.
