Corrine Lee-Iwai holds a Bachelors Degree in Recreational Therapy, Masters Degree in Counseling and a Pupil Personnel Service Credential. She began her career as a Recreational Therapist working with disabled individuals of various age groups in recreation centers, hospitals, psychiatric facilities and skilled nursing homes. After 12 years of working as a therapist and consultant she shifted her interest and emphasis to the educational school setting. She has served as a K-12 Designated Instructional Services Counselor, K-8 Counselor and Program Specialist. Corrine enthusiastically joined the Mira Costa team in 2001 and has been a Guidance Counselor for over 20 years. Her philosophy in counseling includes a collaborative team approach in exploring the student’s academic, personal / social and vocational needs and interests to promote a successful and happy future. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, hiking, reading and traveling.
