2025 Senior Class Updates

Congratulations, Senior Families. You are in the home stretch of your child's senior year. Included below are updates on the latest and greatest information for senior families. We will be updating this page as information becomes available and including that information weekly in the Mira Costa PTSA Newsletter, which is delivered every Monday. • Graduation Lei & Senior Class T-shirts can be purchased here & support the Mira Costa Dance Team.
• June 4-6 - Senior Finals
• June 7 - Prom "Hollywood Nights" 
• June 4-12 - Senior Textbook Return
• June 9 - Senior Meeting (9:30-10:30AM Auditorium) - Mandatory 
• June 9 - Senior Recognition Night - 6-8PM Auditorium
• June 10 - Senior Breakfast & Yearbook Signing (9:30-10:30AM Admin Quad) - Mandatory
• June 11 - Graduation Practice, BBQ, Graduation Ticket Pick Up (12:30-3:30PM Waller Stadium) - Mandatory
• June 12 - Graduation, Strand Stroll & Grad Nite - Schedule of Events Below. Read Graduation FAQs here. Can't attend Graduation in person? Livestream available here.

6/12 Graduation Schedule of Events*

• 3:00-3:30 pm ADA Graduation Check In
• 3:30 pm Main Graduation Check In
• 4:50 pm Senior Graduate Procession Starts
• 5:00-6:00 pm Graduation 
• 6:00-6:30 pm Pictures & Seniors Load Buses to Strand Stroll
• 6:30-7:00 pm Buses drive to Strand Stroll - starting at Martha's in Hermosa Beach
• 7:00-7:30 pm Senior Strand Stroll from Hermosa Beach to Manhattan Beach Pier - (Students must arrange their own transport/pick up after the Strand Stroll)
• 7:30-9:30 pm Free Time for Seniors 
• 9:30-10:00 pm Grad Nite Check In for Seniors @ Mira Costa
• 10:00-2:00 am Grad Nite for Seniors 
• 2:00-2:30 am Seniors Return to Mira Costa

Past Deadlines/Updates

• 4/22 3PM - Deadline to apply to speak or perform at 2025 Graduation - Pick up an application at the CCC
• 4/22 Grad Announcement Orders will be available for pick up during office hours & lunch in front of Admin Bldg. Seniors will need to present their ID to pick up their orders
• Missed the 4/8 Senior Parent Webinar? Here are the Slides, Recording & Q&A Transcript . 
• May 1 - National College Reply Date
• May 1 - Commitment Day Event in Mustang Mall starting at 1:01pm - Seniors come put your post graduation plans on the map!
• May 9 - Deadline to submit Senior Clearance forms - All graduating seniors must complete this form! This process will ensure that your final transcript will be sent to the college you plan to attend in the fall. Students must be logged into their MBUSDApps account to access the form.
• Career Speaker Series - Encourage your senior to check out the speakers & sign up in Naviance
• Share Your College Decision on Instagram "costadecisions25" - Share the good news & see other senior class commitments on this student run Instagram page. 
• Pre-Order Final Transcripts with Parchment - Mira Costa's official transcript supplier, Parchment.com, has added a feature that will allow students to “pre-order” their final transcript to be sent electronically to the school/college/institution they have committed to attending. This option to “pre-order” will provide students/families with assurance that their transcript arrives by the July 1 deadline. More details available here.  
• Who will be your 6 guests for in person Graduation on 6/12? - Mira Costa Senior Class of 2025 is over 600 students this year. We have limited seating in Waller Stadium where graduation is held. As a result, each student will have limited to 6 guest tickets available to them for graduation. Online viewing of the event via Livestream will also be available this year for any additional family members who can't attend in person. Need ADA Seating for a member in your graduation party? • May 12 - Cap & Gown pick up & Last Chance to Pick Up Senior Yard Signs during snack and lunch in front of Admin Bldg. Seniors must present their physical ID for pick up. Also, don't forget to get Grad Nite Ticket & Senior Yard Signs on Sale - Get Tickets Here! 
• May 12-16 - Cap & Gown pick up - Didn't pick up your Cap & Gown on 5/12? Please stop by the office during non-instructional time to pick up your order by 5/16. 
• May 16 - Final Deadline to purchase Grad Nite Tickets & Senior Yard Signs - Get Tickets Here.
• 5/21 11PM Deadline to submit up to 4 High Resolution Group Photos of Seniors with their friends. Submit high resolution photos to the Dropbox here. Ralfs Photography will use these photos to create a Senior Slide Show, which will be shown at the All Awards Ceremony on 5/27. 
• 5/27 Senior Shirt Signing Day during Office Hours in Senior Quad. A limited number of t-shirts are available for purchase in Room 41 starting at 7AM for $10 (Cash or Checks payable to MCHS).
• May 27 - All Awards Assembly 9:35AM-10:23AM Auditorium
• May 30 - Deadline to submit any Graduation ADA Seating requirements 
• May 30 - Deadline to submit Strand Stroll Permission Slips (Over 18 Form & Under 18 Form)
• May 30 - Prom Ticket online Purchase Deadline
