Dual Enrollment

This form is required for all students who plan to take a community college Dual Enrollment course, beginning with Fall 2025 courses. Upon completing the form, please submit it to your counselor. 

MCHS Dual Enrollment Approved Course List

This approved course list includes El Camino College courses that have been approved for placement on the MCHS transcript. Should a course not be available at El Camino College, students may register for the same course at a different California community college. 

Courses that are designated as "advancement" on this list will only be placed on the MCHS transcript and receive high school credit if they are taken during the summer term.

Courses that are designated as "enrichment" on this list will only be placed on the MCHS transcript and receive high school credit if they are taken by a junior or senior who is using 1 class period at MCHS for the course during the fall or spring term.

Please note that students are not limited to the courses listed here. Students in all grade levels are still welcome to register for any course of their choosing that is offered at a community college, during any term, as long as they meet the college's prerequisites. Those courses will not be placed on the MCHS transcript, and the student will not receive high school credit. However, the student will receive college credit, and will still be able to report those courses on their college applications.
