Chris has been teaching at Mira Costa for three years through SCROC (Southern California Regional Occupational Center) with a CTE credential. He started taking photographs in high school back in the '80's and, of course, loves a wide range of cultural influences from Mozart to Earth, Wind and Fire, Shakespeare, Rimbaud, Elizabeth Vigee Le-Brun and the Dhammapada. He worked as a freelance photojournalist for local news agencies such as Zuma Press Images, and has gained personal clients such as LA's BEST after-school program, the Long Beach NAACP, CSULB, St. Nick's Commercial Lighting, and several dozen married couples. His personal fine art focuses on spiritual-cultural-historical landscapes. He has met the Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa and Tom Hanks. He feels very honored to be teaching at Mira Costa, and looks forward to learning something new every day, and to go home each day with a smile.
