hello Mustangs this is Doctor Dale and I'm here to talk about office hours Wednesdays these days will happen throughout the year and their purpose is to provide you during the week and on campus to get work done all of you  yes you guys too  no not you so much  oh I guess you need office hours time to okay you to student workload and student how do you level is the number one concern of both parents and students so this is an opportunity for you to decide where you need the most help and go there please take full advantage of this opportunity very few schools have this type of student-directed time mainly because they don't trust Dunes to make wise choices by implementing this schedule teachers and staff here Costa are showing that they trust you to make full and mature use of this time okay this is what the schedule looks like at the top you can see the dates of all the Wednesdays where this schedule will occur you can also see the between 2nd 3rd. There is approximately one hour for office hours and the same in the afternoon between fourth and fifth this is time for you to meet your own individual academic needs so the question is what teachers will be available during these times during the a.m. office hours you can visit teachers from English History visual performing arts or foreign language during afternoon RPM office hours you can visit teachers from math science special education or PE in addition to going to witches classroom during office hours you can also go to any one of these learning spaces  the auditorium is a no talking no no please no food or drink place to do your homework  students will be asked to have at least one seat in between them to ensure absolutely no noise this is a quiet space if you want to talk or collaborate you can go to the library or the stem lab but no food or drink there either if you want to talk or collaborate over some food or drink you can go to the cafeteria you may be also Valle to The Learning Center or to see your counselor during that time by invitation and there will also be regularly scheduled activities advertised in both the CC and the small theater when you arrive at any location during office hours you must check in by snapping a QR code an entering a posted numerical code and finally briefly responding to any other prompts as directed on our first office hours this system isn't quite ready so we'll have you just sign in you do not have to stay in the first base you go to for the entire time but if you go from in space to another also check in when you arrive at the second location  as I set a report to use this time wisely this chance to self direct your learning is a privilege that almost no high school student enjoys the picture of this model depends on your respective it the teachers and staff trust that you will be adult about it here are some suggestions on how you can effectively use what time are first recommendation  for the use of office hours time is that you do homework you can do homework in any open space on campus but remember there are places like the auditorium and the library that are specially designated for doing homework you can also what time to meet with the study group work on a project or go to one of your classes and turn in a makeup assignment or take a makeup quiz you can also go to a computer lab and work on assignments do research or you can find a quiet place to sit and read  this also a time to go and see your teachers get extra help ask them to look over an assignment or you can sit in on a reteaching or sample lesson you can also attend review group's your teachers are planning many productive and optional activities for this time  so there you are mustangs go now do great work and be excellent
