STUDENT INFO           

·      Attention Mustangs! The first edition of La Vista will be out on Friday, Sept. 29. Please look for copies in our brand new newsstands at locations around campus, including the library, locker halls, and cafeteria.

·      The Art Department is excited to announce our first Art Night on Friday, Nov. 3 at 5 pm. Sign up to sell your artwork or crafts or come shop and participate in art activities. Students, alumni, friends and family are also welcome to attend. Event will be held in the east quad by Room 109. See Ms. Dixon, Mrs. Heredia or Mr. Reichardt for more info and sign up at bit.ly/mchsartnight.

·      Club Day is next Wednesday, Oct. 4. Don’t forget money! Come support Costa’s clubs and eat yummy food!

·      The CSF Fall Membership Drive will continue through Friday, Oct. 6. Please come by Room 243 for more information and to pick up an application, if you are eligible. CSF dues should be paid at the ASB Webstore or by Cash or Check at the Student Store.

·      Students who purchased an ASB Marker after registration and who do not have the ASB stamp on their ID cards can now go to the ASB Finance Office in the Student Store to pick up their new IDs. Be prepared to relinquish your old ID card (and temporary ASB card) or pay a $10 lost ID fee. Students who have lost their ID cards can also come to the student store to pay the $10 fee and pick up a replacement card.

·      Discover South Africa over spring break 2018: Last chance to sign up for this life-changing adventure. Email [email protected] or come to Room 232 TODAY during lunch or PM office hours to receive details and to reserve a spot. Limited spots are available. Deadline to sign up is Oct. 2.

SPORTS

·      Calling all Costa athletes: Come to the first annual Combine to test for the best. It’s FREE! Saturday, 9/30, 12 to 2 pm at Waller Stadium. Sponsored by Boys & Girls Rugby.

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

·      Do you like drones? Do you want to learn how to build, fly and compete with them? Come to the Drone Club in Ms. Weaver’s Room 112 Mondays during lunch.

·      Come to a Solar Cup Team meeting TODAY during PM office hours in Mrs. Weaver’s Room 112. Our West Basin Water District representative is speaking about the competition and creating our solar-powered boat!

·      Come to Drama Club every Wednesday (TODAY) at lunch in Room 1 for announcements on new and exciting things happening in the Drama/Tech Department.

·      Come to Chemistry Club this Friday in Mr. Nodado’s Room 342 at lunch. For those interested in taking a tour of the California Nanosystems Institute at UCLA, this meeting is mandatory.

·      College Knowledge Night is TONIGHT, Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 6:00pm in the Auditorium

Join Ms. Tharayil and Mrs. Ramirez, College & Career Counselors, and Admissions Directors from Syracuse, UCLA, and USC for a Panel Discussion about college admissions at 6:00 p.m. in the Mira Costa High School Auditorium. Then, choose 2 workshops to attend:
