STUDENT INFO         

·      Attention all students! This Tuesday (10/31) at Nutrition, ASB is holding a costume contest, and rewards will be awarded during lunch. All of the categories are posted on signs around campus and on the “asbmustang” Instagram page.

·      National PTA’s Reflections Art Contest deadline has been extended to TONIGHT at midnight. Prizes will be awarded. Forms are available in the front office or search Reflections online. We need your Dance, Video, Literature, Music, Visual art & Photography entries! For more information, contact Kim Smith, PTSA Reflections Chair at 702-491-7867.

·      Buy your Senior Ad now online or in the student store! Prices go up on Oct. 31. The final deadline is December 1. For more info, visit mchshoofprints.weebly.com under the SHOPPING tab.

 

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

·      This Sunday and every Sunday, the Downtown Manhattan Beach Subway will donate 15% of proceeds to La Vista. This is money we use to print monthly issues of La Vista. Please stop by and purchase a sandwich to support La Vista!

·      American Sign Language (ASL) Club will be meeting in Room 74, Ms. Iancului’s room, at lunch this Friday, 10/27.

·      Interested in helping lead the conservative movement on campus? Do you want to get speakers like Dinesh D’Souza, or even Ben Shapiro, to come speak to our school and community? Join Young America’s Foundation on Thursdays in Mr. Geczi’s Room 225.

·      There is a mandatory meeting TODAY at lunch for Chemistry Club in Mr. Nodado’s Room 342. The tour of CNSI will occur this same day from 3-6 pm. Everyone who signed up for the tour must come to this meeting!

·      SoCal Roc is now enrolling for its 2nd quarter 9 week classes: Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Banking and Financial Services, and Business Entrepreneur. Classes begin November 6. Come to the CCC to sign up to speak with a SoCal Roc counselor and learn more about the interactive Career Technical classes that we offer.

·      Local Events CSU Dominguez Hills Super Saturday, African-American College & Career Summit on Saturday, Oct. 28, 8:30am-2:00pm, Loker Student Union, 1000 E. Victoria St., Carson, CA. The purpose of the CSUDH African-American Initiative is to increase college preparation, enrollment, and graduation rates for African-American students.
