·      Come check out a “Monster” Halloween Art Show in Room 60 at lunch. Open all this week.

·      Tickets for The Diviners are on pre-sale NOW in the student store and online! It is $10 for students and seniors and $12 for adults.

·      Attention faculty and students: This week is double dress-up week. Be sure to dress up in Halloween costumes on Tuesday and on Thursday dress up for Redondo Nerd Day.

·      Art Night: Come support the visual arts this Friday. Buy original artwork from current and alumni students, make crafts, and take a photo in our hand-painted photo booth. All friends and family are welcome. Free to attend, but bring cash for purchases. Don’t miss out; join us this Friday, Nov. 3 in the quad outside of Room 109 from 5-7 pm.

·      Hey students who are starting a new club:

·      Attention all students: Last opportunity to pick up paperwork for starting a new club this year is Tuesday, Oct. 31 at lunch in Room 41. The deadline for submitting all papers is Nov. 3. No new clubs will be formed during 2nd or 3rd quarter.

·      Drone Club: Come to the football stadium to fly drones TODAY.

·      Come to Headstrong Club this Tuesday in Room 21 to help support mental health awareness.

·      Come to Together We Tutor on Wednesday in Room 19 at lunch to tutor underprivileged kids and earn community service horus.

·      Attention all students! This Tuesday (10/31) at Nutrition, ASB is holding a Costume Contest, and rewards will be awarded during lunch. All of the categories are posted on signs around campus and on the “asbmustang” Instagram.

SENIORS

·      Buy your Senior Ad now online or in the student store! Prices go up on Oct. 31. The final deadline is December 1. For more info, visit mchshoofprints.weebly.com under the SHOPPING tab.

SPORTS

·      Last chance to sign up for the 2017 Lip Sync Contest! Calling all clubs, sports teams, groups and individuals: Show us your Lip Sync skills and win a chance at PRIZE MONEY. Sign up TODAY, 10/30 and tomorrow, 10/31 at lunch. Look for the Dance Team Table near the Mustang Mall. Show is Thursday, Nov. 16!

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

·      Come to Drama Club every Wednesday during lunch in Room 1 for announcements on new and exciting things happening in the Drama/Tech Department.

·      “Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night’s Plutonian Shore!” Quoth the Raven, “Come to Improv Club every Tuesday in Room 1 during lunch.” – Edgar Allen Poe

·      This Sunday and every Sunday, the Downtown Manhattan Beach Subway will donate 15% of proceeds to La Vista. This is money we use to print monthly issues of La Vista. Please stop by and purchase a sandwich to support La Vista!

·      Interested in helping lead the conservative movement on campus? Do you want to get speakers like Dinesh D’Souza, or even Ben Shapiro, to come speak to our school and community? Join Young America’s Foundation on Thursdays in Mr. Geczi’s Room 225.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

·      The CCC Welcomes Mrs. Ruthie Robles, new evening-hours College Counselor  Mrs. Robles is so excited to be a part of the Costa community, and is eager to begin working with students and families during the CCC’s extended hours. Prior to joining Mira Costa High School, she was employed as a High School Guidance and College Counselor for LAUSD. She earned an M.S. in Counseling and a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential from California State University, Long Beach. She enjoys traveling, reading, outdoor activities and spending time with her family. Mrs. Robles will be in the CCC Monday – Thursday 12-7pm.  Please stop by to say hello, she is looking forward to meeting you all!

·      College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign-up to attend on NAVIANCE.

·      SoCal Roc is now enrolling for its 2nd quarter 9 week classes: Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Banking and Financial Services, and Business Entrepreneur. Classes begin November 6. Come to the CCC to sign up to speak with a SoCal Roc counselor and learn more about the interactive Career Technical classes that we offer.
