STUDENT INFO

·      NEED COMMUNITY SERVICE?  Lunches with Love is collecting bagged hygiene kits AND holding our first ever TOY DRIVE in partnership with Union Rescue Mission. They have an unprecedented number of women, children, and families who are in dire need of unwrapped toys, beauty products and gift cards for all ages including teens. SENIORS

·      IMPORTANTSeniors, your presence is required in the auditorium at first office hours (9:27 am) this Wednesday, Nov. 29, to receive information on graduation cap & gown and senior announcement orders. CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

·      Informational meeting for students interested in the Fullerton High School Drama Festival in March will be TODAY, Tuesday, at 3:00 pm in the small theater.

·      “I” is for Intriguing, “M” is for Magnificent, “P” is for imProv Club every Tuesday during lunch in Room 1!

·      Come to Together We Tutor on Wednesday at lunch in Room 19 to tutor underprivileged kids and earn community service hours.

·      Come to Drama Club in Room 1 every Wednesday during lunch to get important announcements on new and exciting things happening in the Drama/Tech Department!

·      Over 64 Million people can’t afford to provide dinner for themselves; however, Mira Costa’s Disaster Relief Club is hosting a canned-food drive to try and change this number. Bring all of your leftover canned food from Thanksgiving to Room 21 on Wednesday, 11/29.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

·      JUNIORS: The BOEING Internship Informational Session will take place TONIGHT, Tuesday, November 28 from 6-7:30pm in the College and Career Center. The BOEING Internship is a prestigious and highly selective internship for Juniors that takes place over the summer. During this meeting you will hear from former BOEING interns and learn more about what this internship will entail. If you want to apply for the internship, you MUST attend this mandatory meeting. Parents are highly encouraged to attend as well. Please RSVP on Naviance under “College Visits,” and visit the CCC if you have any questions.

·      SENIORS: Walk-In Application Help is available in the CCC! We continue to have an open door policy every day and are happy to answer your questions. In addition, we have designated Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 – 6pm specifically for application and essay help.  We look forward to seeing you in the CCC!

·      College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors.  View all visits and sign-up to attend on NAVIANCE.

·      The CCC is hosting sessions to review A-G Requirements, the high school timeline and summer opportunities. Please visit our CCC Calendar, (MCHS WebsiteCollege Tab CCC CalendarClick on the date you’d like to attend) and sign up. Each session is limited to 25 seats, and only a limited number of sessions will be held!

·      AdventurePlex Holiday Camp Volunteer Opportunity Make a difference during your holiday break by helping kids play their way to good health! Volunteers will assist with fun activities such as arts & crafts, rock climbing, ropes course, puppet show, and story time. Holiday Camps: December 18 – January 5. Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older. If you are interested, please apply online at:  http://adventureplex.org/volunteerapplication by December 1.

·      SoCalRoc: The SoCalRoc Counselor is available in the CCC every Monday from 8:30 – 10:30 am. Please sign up in the CCC to meet with her or drop in for more information about SoCalRoc class offerings.
