TODAY 4/19 – MON 4/30 – Online Parking Lottery sign up for 2018-19 Seniors ONLY

FRI 4/20 – 2nd Semester Scholar Breakfast at 7 am in the Cafeteria; Spring Musical, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying opening night at 7:30 pm

SAT 4/21 – Study Zone 8 am – 12 pm, meet in front of the Admin Building; Spring Musical, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying at 7:30 pm

MON 4/23 & TUE 4/24 – AP Exam pre-identification sessions at 7 pm in the Library.

WED 4/25 – Office Hours Schedule; Senior Recognition/Graduation Speaker Auditions during Office Hours; the last two AP Exam pre-identification sessions during AM & PM Office Hours in the small theater.

THU 4/26 – Spring Musical, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying at 6:30 pm

FRI 4/27 – Commitment Day; Spring Musical, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying at 7:30 pm

STUDENT INFO

·            The Drama/Tech Department’s production of How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying opens this Friday at 7:30 pm! Buy tickets at the Student Store every day at lunch, or go to miracostadramaboosters.org! Pre-sale tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.

·            Call for art! All students are invited to enter a piece into the 18th Annual All Media Art Show. Work can be in any medium including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media. See any art teacher or Mrs. Heredia in Room 62 for official entry form. Deadline to enter work is April 20. The show will be held at Resin Gallery in Hermosa Beach on April 27 from 5-7pm.

·         2018-2019 Dance Team Auditions are right around the corner. Auditions will be April 30 – May 2 from 3:30 – 6:30 pm. Audition packets are available for pick-up in the main office.

·            Attention Next Year’s Seniors 2018-2019! Registration continues for student parking lottery for the 2018-2019 school year. Interested students should register online at the MCHS ASB Web Store. There is no cost to sign up, and you will receive a receipt for registration. Please review the Parking Permit Guidelines posted on the MCHS Website before registering.*Please note: This is a lottery for students who will be seniors ONLY. It is NOT first come/first served. If you are selected you will be notified via email and provided further instructions. Any students having difficulty registering online should contact Donna Cessor in the ASB Finance Office.

SPORTS

·         All returning Girls’ Soccer Players! There will be a meeting this Friday, 4/20 at snack in front of the Gym.

CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

·         If anyone missed Club Council on Tuesday, April 17, come by to pick up your club pay packets on Wednesday (TODAY), Thursday or Friday this week.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

·         College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign up to attend on NAVIANCE.

·         Interested in STEM?  Don’t miss Career Speaker Claire Leon, Ph.D., Director of the Graduate Program in Systems Engineering at LMU on Tuesday, April 24 at 6:00pm in the CCC. All students and parents are welcome! 

·         SoCal Roc is now enrolling for the Fall 2018 semester. Classes begin September 10. Come to the CCC to sign up and learn more about the classes and meet with the SoCal Roc Counselor.

·         Free Practice Tests at Mira Costa  L.A. Tutors is offering free testing on Saturday, May 12 (ACT/SAT).  Register at http://www.latutors123.com/proctored-tests/mira-costa/.  Tests start at 9 am SHARP. Be there at 8:45 am to check in. After your test, you will receive a comprehensive score report and a complimentary consultation on how you can reach your test score goals.
