STUDENT INFO

·         All Awards Rehearsal: Any Junior or Senior who got an e-mail sent home about receiving an award at the All Awards Assembly, please report to the Auditorium on Tuesday, May 29, at snack (10:04 am) for a brief rehearsal – please be prompt. The Assembly will be Wednesday, May 30, during 2^nd period (9:02 am).

·         Submit your entry for the 2018 – 2019 Mira Costa Student Planner Cover Design Contest! See the website for more information and entry rules. Designs will be displayed and voted upon by faculty and students. Students with the three winning designs will receive prizes, compliments of the Student Store! Submit your vision of Costa by Monday, June 4. Get creative!

·         Authors Emily Wibberely & Austin Siegemund-Broka will be at Mira Costa the morning of Tuesday, May 29. They will be discussing their brand new novel, Always Never Yours during 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd periods at the Library. Go to the Library website to preorder their book, and it will be delivered to campus on Tuesday.

·         The Library is holding a lunch-time CHESS TOURNAMENT. Games will be played in a modified bracket over a series of days, June 4 – 7. All level of players welcome! Come by the Library to sign up!

·         Check out Room 60 TODAY at lunch to see the final AP Art Show! Snacks will be served.

·         Yearbooks will be distributed in early June. The last day to reserve a yearbook is TODAY, May 25. Yearbooks will be sold on an as-available basis for $125 CASH ONLY after reserved students have picked up their books. If you want to make sure you get a book when your grade level is distributed, ORDER NOW. Any questions? ·         NEED COMMUNITY SERVICE? LUNCHES WITH LOVE’s LAST delivery of the school year is Sunday, June 3. Please drop off your hygiene kits in front of Super Sports between 8 and 8:30am. THANK YOU for your support all year, and CONGRATS to the Costa Grads! ·         The Boys vs. Girls Comedy Sportz Match is TONIGHT at 7 pm in the Small Theater for $5!

·         Prom 2018 “Bright Lights, Big City” will be held June 2, 2018 at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. Ticket Sales End TODAY, Friday, May 25 (a very limited number will be available Tuesday, May 29 – CASH ONLY). CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

·         Are you interested in computers or a possible career path in cyber security? Please come to the meeting at lunch on Wednesday, May 30 in Mrs. Weaver’s Room 112 and learn about the Cyber Security Club. ALL returning members are expected to attend. o   Tuesday, 6/5 at 5:30pm – International College Options

This series will be most helpful for juniors and their parents, however all grade levels are welcome to attend!

·         SoCal Roc is now enrolling for an El Camino Summer Bridge course (classes begin July 9) and the Fall 2018 semester (classes beginning September 10). Come to the CCC to sign up and learn more about the Summer Bridge course and the classes we offer.
