STUDENT INFO

·         AIDS Benefit Show! Tuesday, 2/5 at 7 pm in the Small Theater, cost is $5 at the door. Come watch scenes, songs, and other performances.

·         Scholar Quiz Registration opens this Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 6:00 am. Registration will be On-Line at https://www.miracostahigh.org/apps/form/form.MIRCOSHS.qHectyo.hA. This link can be found under the Latest News section of the MCHS website. Selections will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of grade, and will be time stamped upon on-line registration. The Scholar Quiz dates are March 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 20. Only 64 teams will be guaranteed entry. All others will be placed on a list of alternates. Questions? Contact Laurie Baker at [email protected].

·         Registration for AP Examinations is available online NOW through Feb. 8. Late Registration online will began last Friday, Feb. 1 at 3:00 pm. Walk-in registration will be available at the Student Store during LUNCH ONLY starting this week.  On-time registration: Jan. 28 – Feb. 1. Late registration: Feb. 4 – Feb. 8.

CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

·      Come to the Young Survival Coalition Club in Room 73 every other Monday to help spread awareness about breast cancer.

·      Come to Drama Club on Wednesdays at lunch in Room 1!

·      Come to Improv Club Tuesdays at lunch in Room 1!

·      Come to Creative Writing Club TODAY at lunch to meet other writers and share your work! Room 46.

·      Physics Club: Come to room 237 at lunch on Friday for cookies and learn about cool physics topics!

·      Come on Mondays (TODAY) to the We Dine Together Club in Room 70 if you are looking for a place to eat lunch and make new friends!

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

·         Schedule a one-on-one appointment with one of our credentialed college counselors. Call 310-318-7337 ext. 5253 or email [email protected]. *Juniors – the Spring Semester is an ideal time to meet with a CCC Counselor.

·         College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign up to attend on NAVIANCE. Please bring your school ID.

o  WED 2/6 El Camino College Wednesdays If you have applied but have not received your student ID# via email, please come to the CCC for your next steps. If you are thinking of applying or have your El Camino ID#, come to the CCC to make an appointment to develop an Educational Plan or answer any questions you may have.  

o  THU, 2/7 Maryville University at 1:00pm, University of Iowa at 2:00pm.

·      Sophomores and Juniors

o   If you took the PSAT in October, your printed score reports are now available for pick-up in the CCC.
