·         The Neptunian Woman’s Club is sponsoring its 40th Student Art and Photography Contest for grades K-5 (art) and 6-12 (art and photography). Deadline for submission to the school office is Friday, May 10, 2019 before 3:00 pm. An awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 19 at 1:00 pm in the Neptunian clubhouse, Manhattan Beach. ·         Hi, Everyone! Please come to the Art Gallery, Room 60, at lunch and see the “Range of Light” ADVANCED photography show. Up through Thursday.

·         Scholar Quiz Registration opened TODAY, Feb. 6 at 6:00 am. Registration is On-Line at https://www.miracostahigh.org/apps/form/form.MIRCOSHS.qHectyo.hA. This link can be found under the Latest News section of the MCHS website. Selections will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of grade, and will be time stamped upon on-line registration. The Scholar Quiz dates are March 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 20. Only 64 teams will be guaranteed entry. All others will be placed on a list of alternates. Questions? Contact Laurie Baker at [email protected].

·         Late Registration for AP Examinations is available online NOW through this Friday, Feb. 8. Late Registration online began last Friday, Feb. 1 at 3:00 pm. Walk-in registration will be available at the Student Store during LUNCH ONLY.  On-time registration: Jan. 28 – Feb. 1. Late registration: Feb. 4 – Feb. 8.

CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

·      Come to American Sign Language (ASL) Club in Room 232 if you want to learn new signs, make new friends, and eat yummy snacks. We meet every Friday at lunch; can’t wait to see you there!

·      Come to Drama Club on Wednesdays (TODAY) at lunch in Room 1!

·      College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign up to attend on NAVIANCE. Please bring your school ID.

o  TODAY, 2/6 El Camino College Wednesdays If you have applied but have not received your student ID# via email, please come to the CCC for your next steps. If you are thinking of applying or have your El Camino ID#, come to the CCC to make an appointment to develop an Educational Plan or answer any questions you may have.

o  If you took the PSAT in October, your printed score reports are now available for pick-up in the CCC.
