STUDENT INFO

·         Come to the Art Room 109 at lunch on Thursday for an AP Art History info session!

·         Attention Costa students! Mental Health Awareness Week is coming up in April. For a chance to win $100, submit your visual art or create a short 3 – 5 minute film about your views on mental health. For more info, email [email protected]. Submissions due March 29!

·         Freshmen! Interested in applying for Biotech next year? Come to our informational session this Thursday 3/7 in Mr. Locke’s Room 352 during zero period at 7:00 am.

·         Noontime Theater! TODAY, 3/6 at PM Office Hours in the Drama Room 1. Come see scenes put on by all the Drama classes, all having to do with love.

·         Comedy Sportz Match – We have an away match at Hawthorne High School TONIGHT at 5:30 pm. Come out and support!

·         Improv Match – Senior citizens vs. students! Friday, 3/8 at 7:30 pm in the Small Theater at Costa!

·         This week is Art Week! Come make art and learn about art electives during lunch. TODAY – Screen printing (bring a blank t-shirt to make your own original Costa Art shirt) in Room 62 during Office Hours; Thursday – AP Art History Info Session in Room 109; Friday – Ceramics information and clay day in Room 107.

·         The Neptunian Woman’s Club is sponsoring its 40th Student Art and Photography Contest for grades K-5 (art) and 6-12 (art and photography). Deadline for submission to the school office is Friday, May 10, 2019 before 3:00 pm. An awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 19 at 1:00 pm in the Neptunian clubhouse, Manhattan Beach. ·         If you ordered graduation announcements from Jostens, they are now ready for you to pick up at the ASB Finance Office in the Student Store during nutrition or lunch.

CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

·         Attention All Mustangs: Young Republicans and Young Democrats will be debating environmental policy during AM Office Hours on March 27 in the Small Theater. We encourage all to see the event.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

·      Schedule a one-on-one appointment with one of our credentialed college counselors. Call 310-318-7337 ext. 5253 or email [email protected]. *Juniors – the Spring Semester is an ideal time to meet with a CCC Counselor.

·      College Representative Visits in the CCC – If visit is during class, please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign up to attend on NAVIANCE. Please bring your school ID.
