STUDENT INFORMATION

• Attention all Girls Basketball Players: The Girls Basketball program will be holding a tryout for girls who are interested in participating in Spring Basketball who: - Played this past season 2011-12
- Have played on either the Frosh/Soph, Junior Varsity and/or Varsity teams in the past.
Spring Basketball is March 26th - June 22nd. There will be another tryout in June for Summer Basketball and a tryout in September for the 2012-13 Season. Tryout: Wed., March 21st, 6:00-8:00pm at Manhattan Beach Middle School. If you have any questions please contact Coach Miranda Biteler at [email protected].

• Pride Day which was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 17th has been rescheduled to Saturday, March 24th, 9am – 12pm.

• Fashion Show Model Auditions rescheduled for Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at lunch in Room 112, 12:25 to 12:50

• Extra! Extra! Creative Writing is being offered this summer. Sign up for Summer School and enjoy creating the ordinary into the extraordinary.

• Come to the library to see the new display of outstanding student photography projects. These photos are the top projects from Ms. Schoenemann’s photography classes that are being submitted to the Californiastreaming.org annual photography contest.”

• This year Reflections Club is holding cover design contest. Turn in any black/white submission to Room 18 or email to [email protected]. Winner will receive a $25 gift card to Pages Book Store!

• MCHS Cheer and Song tryouts are coming in April. Please pick up a tryout packet in the main office or online at www.mchsprpsquad.com. Mandatory tryout meeting will be Wednesday, April 11th at 7pm in the library.

• Congratulations to all the students for their participation in the Neptunian Art Contest. The following students have been selected to go on to the next judging level:

• Juniors: Catalyst Test Prep is offering an ACT bootcamp at MCHS on Saturday, 3/24 and Sunday, 3/25. Info flyer is available in the CCC.

• If you’re interested in performing at this year’s Manhattan Beach Relay for Life please attend a mandatory meeting in Room 45 tomorrow, March 20 at lunch.

• Ping Pong Club is back for 2nd semester! Come to the small gym at lunch and have a great time!

• El Camino and Santa Monica Community Colleges are offering several scholarships to MCHS seniors with a min GPA of 3.0. Please come to the CCC for more information.

• Applications for Senior Graduation and Recognition speeches are available in the Guidance Office. They are due to Mrs. Lee-Iwai on March 30th.
