Assignment
Bring all of your materials to class in order to work on your debate. This will be the ONLY in-class day you will get. We are changing the dates of the debate because of STAR and Holiday. The Stripes Division will still go on Friday the 25th. The Stars Division will go on Tuesday, the 29th.
Due:
Assignment
Final "Study Session" from 3-5
We will be giving a mock multiple choice test, grading it and interpreting the results (what score on the AP test could you expect based on your results on this test).
If you are able to come, we will be delivering good news to you, I hope, about how much your hard work has paid off in terms of score. Additionally, the test might identify a couple areas of weakness that you could "bone up" on the last two evenings before the exam.

Homework:
Ch. 29, 918-end and Ch. 30, 938-end (old book), Ch. 30 966 to end (new book)
During this week and next you should also find time to read Ch. 31 and 32 (old book), Ch. 32 (new book). No neeed to take notes on these chapters, but they ARE important. In the old days I would have had you skip 32 (both books), but since you folks are young, much of the 2000’s is “old times” for you. So read them both and be familiar with the “big” events of the last 20 years.

Assignment
I am adding HW due dates for the time remaining before the test.
As I said in class, these dates may or may not correspond to what we are doing in class on any given day. I have coordinated them to the best of my ability, but if we get behind in class (as I know we will), that will throw that coordination off. Regardless STICK TO THESE DATES. I will be checking notes periodically to hold you accountable and keep you honest.
Remember, these are due dates. Look ahead and you will see that some of the reading due is quite extensive and will require more than a night to complete. Plan accordingly.
You will note that the reading assignments end a week before the test. There are two reasons for this. First, you will have the ability to review extensively before the test without having to read new material. This should allow you to focus on those areas of history where you feel the most challenged. Second, you will finish the book BEFORE the May 5 administration of the Subject Matter SAT in American History. This will give you a chance to score at the highest level if you choose to take that early administration.
Good luck. Study hard and push to the finish.

Spring Break Work:
1. By Monday, April 9, have the Controversial Issues completed. It can be done in groups if you put all of the names of those who worked on it on a single paper. These groups must be by period (must be all of the same period) or by junket. Remember, by putting the names of those individuals on the paper you are verifying that ALL worked on the effort. If that is not the case and the name still appears, that would constitute cheating. Put each controversial issue on a separate sheet of paper. I will collect one issue when we return for evaluation.
2. If you are one of the trips…or are not here on Friday…You also need to finish the “Historical Head” project. If possible, this must be created in groups of three.
3. Read/Notes Bragdon/McCutcheon on Causes of the Depression
