AP Microeconomics (Period 1)

Course Description

The purpose of this course is to teach students how to derive and apply the principles of economic behavior with a particular emphasis on microeconomic analysis. As microeconomics looks at specific economic units, we will tend to look at very small "pieces" of the economy--a single industry, a lone firm, an individual family or consumer--in order to understand such questions as how prices are determined and why specific consumer and producer choices are made.

Each semester-long course is fifteen weeks long comprised of eight units of study in 69 total days with 42 instructional days, eight testing days, eight test preparation days, eight project days, and three AP exam review days.
