Freshman Advanced English (Period 4)

This is our advanced course which offers a further enrichment beyond our freshman college preparatory class. This course requires intensive reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. This class will challenge students with increased rigor and faster pacing. Students will be expected to demonstrate higher level thinking skills in both speaking and writing. The assessment in this advanced course evaluate student work at a higher level than the college preparatory class. Assessment include higher expectations for student reading comprehension, writing fluency, listening, and speaking skills, as well as more in depth analysis and application of themes. One objective of this class is to prepare students for Sophomore Accelerated English.
