Welcome to the CCC!

Mission Statement:

The Mira Costa High School College & Career Center empowers every student to discover their individual passions, strengths, and goals as they prepare for life beyond graduation. Through a holistic, personalized approach, we guide students in developing the academic, personal, and career-readiness skills necessary to thrive in college and the world of work. Our mission is to ensure that each student graduates with a clear, confident plan for their postsecondary journey, one that reflects their unique interests, values, and aspirations.

MBEF Supports CCC

The College & Career Center provides comprehensive support for all Mira Costa High School students in grades 9–12, helping them explore, plan, and achieve their postsecondary goals. From the first year of high school through graduation, students engage in structured guidance that includes one-on-one counseling sessions, small-group workshops, and classroom lessons tailored to each grade level. We assist at every stage of the process, from self-discovery and goal-setting to college selection, applications, and career planning.

Our counselors collaborate closely with students and families to make the college exploration and application process both manageable and meaningful. We encourage students to take ownership of their journey, explore a wide range of college and career options, and ultimately choose the path that best fits their academic interests, personal strengths, and future goals.

Thanks to the support and funding of the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation (MBEF), the College and Career Center (CCC) is staffed by college and career counselors who provide personalized guidance on college admissions, career exploration, and life after graduation. Counselors host approximately 120 college visits a year, assist with college application essays, and provide one-on-one support. Families benefit from workshops, resources, and dedicated expertise every step of the way.
