THUR., 3/16Dessert Theatre in the Small Theatre at 7 pm. Tickets are $7 at the door.

SAT., 3/18Costa Pride Day from 9 am – 12 pm; meet at the office.                                                                        

STUDENT INFO           

·      Come by the Student Store and/or Room 40/41 to buy Stampede Shirts and tanks. You can purchase one for $5 or 3 for $10.

If you submitted an entry, and your name does not appear above, or you were not able to attend the reception, please come to the Admin Office to pick up your artwork or photo by Friday, Mar. 3. Thanks to all who entered.

·      Looking for a good time? Want some excitement in your life? Come to the Comedy Sportz Match this Friday in the new theatre at 7 pm to watch Costa play against Peninsula! Tickets are $5. Be there or be a triangle!

·      Interested in learning how to become a knight, gladiator, or Jedi? Get started at Fencing Club! Current fencers and anyone interested in learning about this Olympic sport are welcome to come to Room 134 this Wednesday at lunch!

·      Scholar Quiz sign-ups will be held on Wednesday, Mar. 1 beginning at 6:45 am in the Auditorium lobby on a first-come, first-served basis. All grades are welcome. Please fill out the Team Entry form (available on the Mira Costa website) and bring it with you. Forms will also be available in the office. We are limited to 64 teams. Competition dates are March 29, 30, 31 and April 3, 4, 5.

·      Need community service? Or just want to have FUN? Be part of history and paint with Portraits of Hope by helping with their newest civic art project, “Promoting Pet Adoption through Animal Shelter Revitalizations.” Sign up NOW for their Sat/Sun painting sessions at [email protected]. ·      Attention Seniors! Come by the ASB Room during 4th or 5th period, or Mrs. Claypoole’s Room, or the Student Store to pick up your senior shirts! They are one for $5 or 3 for $10.

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

·      Come to Drama Club on Wednesday at lunch in Room 1.

·      Come to Improv Club on Tuesday (TODAY) for a healthy chuckle in the Drama Room 1.

·      Attention all artists, art lovers, and friends: Art Club meetings are held every Wednesday during lunch in Ms. Martin’s Room 62. See you there!

·      Money can’t buy happiness, but I would rather cry in a Bentley. Come to Investors’ Club every Tuesday (TODAY) in Room 225.

·      Reflections: Submit poetry, prose, or photography to [email protected] to be featured in our annual publication. Reflections is the literary and artistic magazine of the school, and we meet every Monday (TODAY) in Room 207.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

·      Visits in the CCC: Please sign-up on Naviance. If the visit is during class time, please get permission from your teacher to attend.

o    TODAY, Feb. 28 at 4:00pm Juniors OnlyBlue Train ACT/SAT Speed Sessions. Do you have test anxiety? Or do you simply wish you could move faster and think more clearly on exams? Come to an ACT speed session and learn how to push past your own mental barriers. We will be doing pedal-to-the-floor speed drills and exercises to help you learn how to perform better under pressure. Just bring a pencil & a positive attitude. ·      El Camino Bound Students – After you take your ECC assessment test, your next step towards priority registration is to meet with an ECC Counselor. There will be an ECC Counselor available in the CCC to meet with you on Wednesdays from 12:20pm – 2:40pm. Reserve your appointment date and time in the CCC.

·      Career Speaker Series Professionals in various industries will visit the CCC to speak about their careers and the path they took to get there. This is a great opportunity to learn about different careers and the steps you need to take to gain opportunities for internships and to land your dream job. Please sign-up on Naviance or in the CCC.
