Find your purpose at the Roundhouse Aquarium Teaching Center and become a Roundhouse Aquarium Interpretive Volunteer! The Roundhouse Aquarium is looking for enthusiastic people interested in teaching guests of all ages and backgrounds about local Southern California marine life and environmental conservation related topics. Our tide pool touch tank is an example of one of our Roundhouse teaching stations where our interpretive volunteers engage, inspire, and connect others to the ocean! AYSO Region 18 - Volunteer Opportunities 
 AYSO is looking for volunteer referees!
 
Refs can earn service hours/credit by reffing. You can choose your schedule and hourly commitment which is good for students with busy schedules.
They have a class on September 2 from 8am to 2pm specifically for teens who want to start refereeing; they also have several other ref courses coming up.

Pediatric Therapy Network 
PTN is looking for students ages 15 and older to volunteer as a Camper "Buddy" or Activities Assistant for Camp Escapades 2017! Camp Escapades is PTN's annual summer day camp for children with developmental concerns and their siblings.  Camp Escapades takes place from August 7 – 18, 2017 at Rolling Hills Country Day School.  Volunteer registration opens on Monday, May 1st. The Hermosa Beach Historical Society 

Seeking responsible and reliable volunteers to assist in the following tasks at the Hermosa Beach Museum:

1. Day-to-day facilities maintenance (cleaning galleries, organizing work and storage space, assisting curator with moving displays, installing and uninstalling displays, other duties as assigned). Required: 14+, attention to detail, basic knowledge of tools and/or interest in learning, interest in history a plus

2. Collections assistance/cataloging (assisting the curator with cataloging the Museum’s collection into an electronic database, other data-entry, other duties as assigned). Required: 16+, attention to detail, strong organization skills, strong computer skills, experience with MS Office Applications, interest in history a plus

Walk for Sally

A group helping children with families impacted by cancer needs volunteers. Their office is located in El Segundo and they serve families in the South Bay. Volunteer to help with office work weekdays after school or with weekend events.
