South Bay Botanical Garden
Help in our new butterfly pavilion, SOAR, and earn volunteer hours! We've extended our hours Thursday-Saturday for May and June and are looking for help from 3:45pm - 6:45pm each week.
To give volunteering a try, please sign up and view open volunteer opportunities. These are our openings for one-time, temporary volunteers. No prior training is required but volunteers must be at least 15 years of age. Shifts are first come, first serve and are limited so please only sign up for shifts you know you can commit to. Due to limited capacity in the pavilion we have a limited capacity for volunteers.
Volunteers will be interacting with the public so make sure you feel comfortable talking with guests and standing for long periods of time before signing up.
If you are interested in becoming an official SOAR Guide there is an application and two trainings to get you up to speed. Feel free to try volunteering with us before applying. If you have any questions about becoming an official SOAR Guide, please let our staff know when you show up to volunteer or email me! SOAR runs through July 31st so we'll need a lot of help!
