Our curriculum will be supplemented by discussions, panels, workshops and a small group project intended to give students a comprehensive experience as they consider their future college and career opportunities. The program will take place online through Zoom so it can take place with certainty during Fall 2021 .Through making full use of many online Zoom tools such as screen sharing, digital polls and break out rooms, Fall 2021 HSIP will be a transformative and
hands-on approach to learning more about your future!
The sessions will run for 9 Saturdays from September 25 - November 20 and all class years are eligible to apply. Students will still be hearing from a great array of graduate students, research professors and health professionals as they learn more about the various components of the health sciences field. Career Development Workshops
High school and college age individuals are in a critical time of their lives when they are facing challenges such as establishing their identity and making important life transitions.  Attending programs such as Find Your Path 2019 help to enhance their ability to adapt to change and stressful situations, become involved in purposeful activities, and connect with positive peers and adults.  It also helps to build knowledge about high-risk behaviors and their consequences.
Register here: workshops (enrollment is limited) are being held at the Beach Cities Health District lower level meeting rooms on 514 North Prospect Avenue, Redondo Beach CA  90277.
This is part of a community engagement project funded by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health to promote a holistic model of services focused on positive youth development.  As part of this project, I would also be interested in engaging in discussions with you about the needs of youth around these topics.  Please feel free to contact me with questions and ideas about this project.
