STUDENT INFO

·         Dodgeball Tournament: Sign-ups start TODAY through Friday 2/15. Six players plus one alternate, $10 per team.

·         Calling all Radio Announcers and Broadcasters! Looking for an opportunity to get into sports broadcasting? Mira Costa Baseball is looking for someone to announce the home games. Contact Keith Ramsey, head coach at [email protected] if interested.

·         Sign up to participate in the last Art Night of the year! All students are invited to sell their artwork or crafts, or come to shop and participate in art activities. Art Night at Mira Costa will be held March 8 from 4 to 6 pm in the quad outside Room 1009. All students, faculty and staff are invited to bring friends and family for a fun evening of art! Don’t miss out – sign up today!

·         The Neptunian Woman’s Club is sponsoring its 40th Student Art and Photography Contest for grades K-5 (art) and 6-12 (art and photography). Deadline for submission to the school office is Friday, May 10, 2019 before 3:00 pm. An awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 19 at 1:00 pm in the Neptunian clubhouse, Manhattan Beach. ·         Cap & Gown: If you haven’t ordered your cap and gown, it’s not too late to do so. The Jostens rep will be here Wednesday, Feb. 27 during AM Office Hours and lunch outside the CCC.

·         Graduation Announcements: If you purchased announcements, the Jostens rep will be here to distribute them Wednesday, Feb. 27 during AM Office Hours and lunch outside the CCC.

CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

·      Come to Creative Writing Club TODAY at lunch to meet other writers and share your work! Room 46.

·      Come to the Young Survival Coalition Club in Room 73 every other Monday to help spread awareness about breast cancer!

·      Come to Room 70 at lunch on Mondays (TODAY) for the We Dine Together Club if you’re looking for a place to eat lunch and make new friends!

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

·      Schedule a one-on-one appointment with one of our credentialed college counselors. Call 310-318-7337 ext. 5253 or email [email protected]. *Juniors – the Spring Semester is an ideal time to meet with a CCC Counselor.

·      College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign up to attend on NAVIANCE. Please bring your school ID.

o   Friday, 2/15 Santa Monica College at 12:20pm (lunch)

·      Featured Summer Program Pratt Institute Precollege courses for high school students. Programs include Architecture, Art, Design, Fashion, Creative Writing, and more.
