·         Teachers: Link Crew recommendations are due TODAY, 3/8; forms were placed in your mailboxes last week (to be returned to Maddie Hutchinson’s box), and a digital option was sent out as well. We greatly appreciate your assistance!

STUDENT INFO

·         Link Crew is reCREWting! We are looking for current sophomores and juniors who are kind, responsible, and interested in helping freshmen and new students find their place on campus. To learn what we’re all about, come to one of our informational meetings: Weds 3/13 during PM OH in Room 20, or Weds 3/20 during PM OH in the Small Theatre. Hope to see you there!

·         Costachella Auditions: Email a video of your music talent to [email protected]. Video auditions are due by March 20.

·         Attention Costa students! Mental Health Awareness Week is coming up in April. For a chance to win $100, submit your visual art or create a short 3 – 5 minute film about your views on mental health. For more info, email [email protected]. Submissions due March 29!

·         Improv Match – Senior citizens vs. students! TONIGHT at 7:00 pm (note time correction)  in the Small Theater at Costa!

·         This week is Art Week! Come make art and learn about art electives during lunch. TODAY – Ceramics information and clay day in Room 107.

·         The Neptunian Woman’s Club is sponsoring its 40th Student Art and Photography Contest for grades K-5 (art) and 6-12 (art and photography). Deadline for submission to the school office is Friday, May 10, 2019 before 3:00 pm. An awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 19 at 1:00 pm in the Neptunian clubhouse, Manhattan Beach. SENIORS

·         If you ordered graduation announcements from Jostens, they are now ready for you to pick up at the ASB Finance Office in the Student Store during nutrition or lunch.

CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

·         Grades of Green: Need community service hours? Go to our Instagram, @forthegreenergood1 to sign up for our beach cleanups at the Hermosa Beach Pier on March 10, 17 and 24!

·         Come to the Young Survival Coalition Club in Room 73 every other Monday to help spread awareness about breast cancer!

·         All sports and program photos and names must be submitted to [email protected] by March 22 to be featured in the Hoofprints Yearbook.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

·      Schedule a one-on-one appointment with one of our credentialed college counselors. Call 310-318-7337 ext. 5253 or email [email protected]. *Juniors – the Spring Semester is an ideal time to meet with a CCC Counselor.

·      College Representative Visits in the CCC – If visit is during class, please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign up to attend on NAVIANCE. Please bring your school ID.

Make sure you are completing the tasks that are needed to qualify for Priority Registration. Come to the CCC to make an appointment to develop an Educational Plan or answer any questions you may have.
