This Is Costa
Held in the Fall every year (typically late October or early November) at MCHS. The purpose of the evening is to provide 8th grade students and their parents with information on Mira Costa. It came about in response to private schools who put together information nights in the Fall as well. Dr. Dale runs the main presentation with various other speakers (including a representative from the counseling office). Afterwards, attendees are invited to visit various stations in the MCHS quad where student representatives from all of the MBX activities are waiting to answer any questions they may have. The evening is held mid week and typically lasts about 2 hours. The event is publicized to all of the middle schools in the area (MBMS, Hermosa Valley, and American Martyrs) and is open to all prospective MCHS students and their parents. While the evening is primarily geared towards 8th grade students who will be transitioning to high school the next Fall, it is open to any interested parties.
