Second Semester Ceramics 1
1. Luminary Due Feb 24th leather hard for critique
2. Bowl done on wheel due leather hard, trimmed Feb 26th
Sketchbook assignments:
1. 10 Thumbnails of luminaries,one larger drawing of the one that you are going to do, a list of the art elements and design principles that are present. Three different carved designs that you might do on your piece. All done by Feb 11th.
2. Copy all the Japanese tea bowls and their foots from the handout and know them.
Due Feb 26th
3. Draw 5 organic shapes, 5 geometric shapes in 3-d. Create 10 different sculptures by combing these shapes together. Add other shapes and forms as well to come up with interesting non-objective sculptures. They must look 3-d and show the textures as well. Due March 10th.
