Background: I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from UCLA and a Masters degree in Education from Pepperdine. I have two boys: Zachary, who will be a senior here at Mira Costa this year and Derek who just graduated from Mira Costa and will be entering his first year at NYU as a film composition major.
Philosophy: I believe that students will do their best to live up to the expectations I have of them, and I expect a lot of them. I work to give them the tools to meet those expectations, and I think most students think of me as difficult but fair. I want to make sure that my students are prepared for the challenges to come.
